Following in the musical footsteps of many-a-superstar before him, Justin Bieber just completed his first-ever NPR Tiny Desk set.
The Canadian native kicked things off Wednesday’s virtual performance with selections from his highly anticipated, upcoming album Justice. Accompanied by his band mates Harv on bass, O’Neil “Doctor O” Palmer on keys, Robert Taylor on drums, Julian McGuire on guitar and, of course, DJ Tay James on the decks, Bieber started the show with a version of “Holy”.
The mega-star’s followup song was the worldwide premiere of the unreleased “Peaches,” (the recorded version of which, due out Friday March 19th, will feature assists from Giveon and Daniel Caesar) followed by the rest of his highly-anticipated Justice LP project. In addition to the surprise debut, the 27-year-old, who recently took home a Grammy for best country duo/group performance alongside Dan + Shay for “10,000 Hours,” also treated fans to his hits “Hold On” and “Anyone.”
