    It was July 5th, 1983 when @ProMotion1983 The Brad It was July 5th, 1983 when @ProMotion1983 The Brad LeBeau Company Inc opened its New York doors to the world of domestic and international dance music. Ronald Reagan was president of the United States, 'Let the Music Play' by Shannon was that year's #1 Billboard dance club chart single, cassettes and vinyl were the recorded mediums of choice, and overnight mail, the FAX machine, the desk-top computer, and cell phones were hailed as futuristic signs of the times. Born from an ideal that good music from around the globe would be embraced by American club deejays, PRO MOTION set sail to represent what we believed was the world’s best dance repertoire, well before any of us knew what was to happen some forty three years later. Four plus decades ago there was no such thing as 'club culture' or anything that resembled the kind of Herculean acclaim given to today's dance floor/festival deejays, radio programmers, and social media pundits. And, while significant work still lies ahead to help sustain this musical movement, it is our sincere hope that PRO MOTION has, in some small way, contributed to the world recognizing and respecting the impact dance music has had on contemporary pop culture. While income is an essential by-product of business, it pales in comparison to my agency's passion for the music and the satisfaction we get from recognizing a dream. And, while a residual benefit of success, true wealth comes from loving what we do today as much, if not more, than when I started the company 43 years ago, when the luxury of modern day technologies were mere figments of our imagination.
