In her just released video, Taylor Swift is adrift in “Lavender Haze.”
On Thursday (1.26,) the superstar singer/songwriter took to Instagram teasing the debut of the moving imagery for her latest single and asked her followers to “meet me at midnight.”
The third music video from her latest full length, “Midnights”, “Lavender Haze” follows “Bejeweled,” and “Anti-Hero”, the latter of which is her deeply personal hit that’s since become the multiple-Grammy award winner’s longest-running Billboard Hot 100 single to hold the #1 slot (for eight weeks) bypassing the seven week stint of “Blank Space” in 2014.
Forever addressing her personal relationships in song, Swift previously revealed that “Lavender Haze” was written about her boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, and their six-year relationship, explaining that “this song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff,” and stating that “lavender haze” is used to describe “being in love.”
