In an attempt to balance motherhood and her super-busy career, Rihanna has addressed feeling “resentment,” as the iconic music/businesswoman has two children – RZA (2) and Riot (2) – with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the Barbadian talent talked about the struggles with the balance of time between motherhood, her career, and doing things for herself. Referring her to two boys, she said:
“Every decision I make is about them, but everything I do that I love takes away from them.” “So I have a weird resentment towards the things I love. You almost feel like something is always suffering for you to show up somewhere”.
Admitting that her busy schedule challenges her ability to focus on the task at hand, RiRi added:
“When you show up, it’s not 100 per cent because there’s something else on the wheel. It’s actually given me a lot more self-guilt.” “I don’t like letting people down, but I also know that most of the time, it’s me letting myself down, which means something has to change, but everything is on the wheel all the time.” “I’m trying to find a balance so that I feel fulfilled when I show up for something, so I don’t feel guilty.”
