Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker Shooter Sentenced To 21 Years

Almost two years since the incident, the man who shot Lady Gaga‘s dog walker has been formally sentenced to 21 years in prison.

In February of 2021, Ryan Fischer was hospitalized after being shot while walking three of the superstar singer/songwriter’s French Bulldogs in Hollywood, Los Angeles while the owner was away. Two of Gaga’s dogs were taken in the incident, but were subsequently returned to a police station two days later.

After the shooting of Fischer, James Howard Jackson was charged on April 2021 with attempted murder, and on Monday (12.05) he pleaded no contest during the court hearing.

According to editors at Rolling Stone, as a result of a plea deal the prosecution dropped robbery and weapons charges related to the case.

In a formal statement, Fischer told Jackson the shooting had caused him health and financial issues, but he remained grateful the dogs were unharmed, saying:

“I do forgive you. With the attack, you completely altered my life. I know I can’t completely move on from the night you shot me until I said those words to you.” “They were returned and returned to their mom. I don’t think I could have lived with myself if they died.”

A second man connected to the case, Jaylin White, took a plea deal earlier this year and was sentenced to four years in prison.

At press time, Lady Gaga has not yet commented on the sentencing.
