Following a 17-year relationship with the record company, Jessie J has left Republic Records.

Now 35, on Thursday (9.28,) the UK born chanteuse took to Instagram confirming her decision to part ways with the New York-based label, writing:

“After 17 years I have decided to leave Republic Records,” she told her 14 million followers. “I was about six months pregnant when I made this decision.” “Monte and Avery Lipman, and Jason Flom have been so gracious and kind in supporting my decision and letting me go. It’s been honestly the most amazingly high and low ride of my life.”

Citing Republic as “the best record label in the world” before sharing that she had to be “honest” with herself and her professional, she confessed and joked “Being signed just doesn’t sit with that now.” “So now I am unemployed!”

Jessie J signed her deal with Republic Records in 2009 where they released some of her biggest hits to date, including the 2011 ‘Price Tag’ and ‘Domino.’
