Along with their video featuring ‘Outer Banks’ heartthrob Drew Starkey, Haim just released their new single ‘Relationships.’
Comprised of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana, the pop star siblings have returned to the fray with a preview of their first studio album since 2020’s ‘Women in Music Pt. III’.
‘Relationships’ was produced by former Vampire Weekend star Rostam Batmanglij and Danielle Haim, and the Camille Summers-Valli-directed video sees Starkey portraying Danielle’s lover.
In an interview with Jack Saunders of BBC Radio 1 about the group’s new song, Alana said:
“This song took us seven years to finish. We’ve been waiting so long to just put it out and now it’s finally time. It’s about everything we always go through, Are you in a relationship? Are you taken? Are you in a situationship? It’s all everything. It’s all things relationship.”
While Haim’s not dropped an LP for five years, the girls released the song ‘Home’ as part of the soundtrack to the 2023 ‘Barbie’ film, along with one-off singles ‘Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache’ and ‘Lost Track’.
Haim joined Taylor Swift on ‘The Eras’ tour and headlined UK’s All Points East festival in 2023 and their forthcoming gigs include New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in April, and Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona and Portugal in June.
