Follows the massive success of ‘Miracle’ featuring Ellie Goulding that recognized almost 3,000,000 global single sales, Calvin Harris returning to the dance floor with ‘Smoke The Pain Away,’ his first vocal track in several years.
Sporting a rugged new look that reflects the next chapter of his life, the superstar deejay/artist sings “Too late, I’ve been up for days / I can’t even see straight / No, I can’t smoke the pain away.”
A formal press release about his new offering states “This marks a step in his musical evolution, expanding beyond his DJ roots into a genre-blending space that reflects his desire to push creative boundaries.”
The first artist to ever hold a double residency at the same Ibiza venue in a single season, Harris will make history this summer at Ushuaïa Ibiza.
The now 41-year old musician – whose biggest hits include ‘One Kiss’ with Dua Lipa, ‘We Found Love’ with Rihanna and ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ with Disciples – will assume Tuesdays and Fridays at the world-famous party destination, with “25 carefully curated shows, delivering a world-exclusive residency unlike anything seen before.” “Fridays will continue his reign as one of the island’s most in-demand events, while Tuesdays will usher in a new era—introducing a fresh concept that pushes the limits of production, sound, and spectacle.”
About his forthcoming residency, the Scottish talent said:
“This is something that’s never been done before, and I’m buzzing to be the first artist to hold a double residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. None of this would be possible without the incredible fans who’ve been with me every step of the way. The energy of people from all over the world, all coming together at the epicentre of electronic music, is something I can’t wait to feel again.
