Joe Jonas, a member of DNCE, decided to celebrate his group’s “Cake by the Ocean” one-billion Spotify stream milestone play a delicious way.
“One Billion never tasted so good!” and “Thank you @Spotify!” Jonas captioned the March 20th video of himself in a lavish dining room, enjoying the french fries, Chicken McNuggets and burger that were placed on the music streaming service’s silver platter-shaped plaque that marked the achievement. Released some six years ago, “Cake …” was the debut single from DNCE as part of the group’s self-titled album debut in 2016.
Not the first musician who celebrated his music reaching the major milestone by eating off the plaque, in October, Quavo devoured devoured scrambled eggs, waffles, hash browns and orange juice off of his metal award to celebrate “Congratulations”, his collaboration with Post Malone.
