Some two-decades since Lost and Found, his last full length, Will Smith has confirmed the release of a new album.
In a recent interview with Instagram account, Black Film Allies, the actor/rapper said “Over the past year and a half, I’ve been in the studio.” “I have a project that is the most personal and powerful music project I’ve ever done. The idea of the music is, ‘Dance in your darkest moments.'”
Though he did not confirm the LP title or release date, a biography on the Dance in Your Darkest Moments Instagram page says it’s “a human wellness initiative designed to inspire self-exploration, encourage acceptance, & cultivate a celebration for life.”
Believed to be recorded in the Gospel Rap genre, on June 30 the now 55-year-old performed a new song, ‘You Can Make It,’ at the BET Awards.
Smith also recently posted a preview of a new collaboration with Russ, called ‘Work of Art,’ that’s been released today (7.26.)
Earlier this year, Will dropped ‘Light Em Up’ featured Sean Paul from the Bad Boys: Ride or Die, soundtrack.
