Marking America’s 250th anniversary, Christina Aguilera and Will Smith are slated to headline a special concert.
Titled One Philly: Unity Concert For America, on Thursday (5.21,) officials confirmed that the six-hour free event will take place at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia on July 4.
Wanda Sykes will host the celebratory event that will also include appearances by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star’s hip-hop collaborator, DJ Jazzy Jeff, along with Jill Scott, The Roots, Seal, State Property, Kathy Sledge, and Infinity Song.
“The free event is open to the public and will unite music fans from across the country for a multi-genre, multi-generational celebration of American music, democracy, culture, and community as the nation commemorates its 250th anniversary,” praised the representative.
Hosted by the City of Philadelphia, the show’s producers teased that the show will be the “largest free concert in America.” culminating with a fireworks finale over the Philadelphia Museum of Art and skyline just before midnight.
