Subject Charged + Arrested In ‘Takeoff’ Murder

At a local news conference on Friday (12.02,) Houston, Texas Police Department Chief Troy Finner confirmed that a man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the November 1 killing of Migos rapper Takeoff.

On Thursday (12.01,) 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested on the east side of Houston, and charged with murder, along with 22-year-old Cameron Joshua, who was arrested and charged with the unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Born Kirshnik Khari Ball, Takeoff was 28 years old when he was shot and killed last month during a private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling in downtown Houston with his uncle, Quavo. According to the Harris County coroner’s office, the famous musician suffered from “penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into arm.”

Following the tragedy, Houston PD’s Sgt. Michael Burrow said that Takeoff was an “innocent bystander” of the argument at the party that led to the shooting, adding “The event was a private party, there was a lucrative dice game that went on at the event, there was an argument that happened afterwards outside the bowling alley which led to the shooting.” “I can tell you that Takeoff was not involved in playing the dice game, he was not involved in the argument that happened outside, he was not armed. He was an innocent bystander.”
