Kali Uchis + Karol G Drop Columbian Collab: Look + Listen

The latest in an ever expanding list Latin female collaboration, “Labios Mordidos” is the brand new release from Kali Uchis + Karol G.

Backed by old-school reggaetón rhythms, the two Colombian-born superstars sing seductively to each other about getting dirty in the dark, as Uchis (born Karly-Marina Loaiza) declares, “Tonight I’m a lesbian, you make me want it.”

Following Bichota Season‘s “Me Tengo Que Ir,” each musician has teased their collab for some time, with Karol G (born Carolina Giraldo Navarro) performing her verse in the collaboration while performing at the Billboard Music Awards where she took home the Top Latin Female Artist and Top Latin Touring Artist trophies.

In a recent interview for her Rolling Stone cover story, Karol G stated “We’ve spent a year and a half talking about this.” “We’ve seen each other, gone to the studio together; she’s been at my house, I’ve been to her house. But Kali is like me, we’re like ‘zero pressure.’ “We made a ton of songs, and she would tell me, ‘I don’t like that one,’ and I’d tell her, ‘I’m not feeling it either.’”

During a conversation at the Grammy Museum, Uchis mentioned that her new song with Karol included sapphic themes with “Labios Mordidos” featured on her forthcoming LP Orquídeas. And in addition to Karol G, the full length will also feature Rauw Alejandro on “No Hay Ley Parte 2” and Peso Pluma on “Igual Que Un Ángel.”
