The latest in an ever expanding list Latin female collaboration, βLabios Mordidosβ is the brand new release from Kali Uchis + Karol G.
Backed by old-school reggaetΓ³n rhythms, the two Colombian-born superstars sing seductively to each other about getting dirty in the dark, as Uchis (born Karly-Marina Loaiza) declares, βTonight Iβm a lesbian, you make me want it.βΒ
FollowingΒ Bichota Seasonβs βMe Tengo Que Ir,β each musician has teased their collab for some time, with Karol G (born Carolina Giraldo Navarro) performing her verse in the collaboration whileΒ performing at the Billboard Music Awards where she took home the Top Latin Female Artist and Top Latin Touring Artist trophies.
In a recent interview forΒ herΒ Rolling StoneΒ cover story, Karol G stated βWeβve spent a year and a half talking about this.” βWeβve seen each other, gone to the studio together; sheβs been at my house, Iβve been to her house. But Kali is like me, weβre like βzero pressure.β βWe made a ton of songs, and she would tell me, βI donβt like that one,β and Iβd tell her, βIβm not feeling it either.’β
During a conversation at the Grammy Museum, Uchis mentioned that her new song with Karol included sapphic themes with βLabios Mordidosβ featured on her forthcoming LPΒ OrquΓdeas. And in addition to Karol G, the full length will also feature Rauw Alejandro on βNo Hay Ley Parte 2β and Peso Pluma on βIgual Que Un Γngel.β
