Less than two months shy of a decade of Hardwell On Air, Hardwell has made the decision to close the book on his staple radio show series following its milestone 500th episode.
The final January 15th broadcast was a fitting send-off for the longtime, big room house legend as he played a set comprised of 11 incoming Revealed Recordings IDs, Hardwell and Blasterjaxx‘s unexpected “Bootshaus ID,” and a slew of modern updates to the Dutch DJ classics. Concurrent with the 33-year-old’s, January 7th birthday, the final episode gave listeners an opportunity to reflect on how influential the radio series has been over the years.
Though the specific reasoning for ending Hardwell On Air‘s was not disclosed by those involved with Revealed Recordings, perhaps it’s time for Hardwell to take a well-deserved hiatus. In the meantime, watch this space for updates on Hardwell’s next moves, and listen to his 500th and final episode of Hardwell On Air.
