Elton John + Lil Nas X Featured On Uber Eats TV Adverts: Watch + Listen

Following their recent single collaboration that will appear on both artists’ upcoming albums, Lil Nas X and Elton John have brought their budding friendship to the advertising world through a recent extension of Uber Eats‘ “Tonight I’ll Be Eating” campaign.

The collection of of :15 and :30-second ads feature the legendary and contemporary superstar musicians as they exchange signature outfits and delivery orders.

According to Dave Horton, ecd at Special Group U.S., “While Elton John and Lil Nas X come from different generations and different genres, there is such a fantastic similarity that they share. Seeing them together seems to amplify their force.”

While the ad campaign clearly exploits on the duo’s odd couple energy, both are trailblazers as pop chart mainstays and fearless advocates of LGBTQ+ communities.

Along with the “Industry Baby” performer leveraging a number of eccentric stunts ahead of his 9.17 LP release (including a maternity photo spread in People Magazine,) the “Tonight I’ll Be Eating” campaign is the latest in Lil Nas X’s marketing agenda leading up to the arrival of his debut album, Montero.

“I’m so excited and honored to be working with the legendary Elton John on this Uber Eats campaign,” said Lil Nas X (born Montero Lamar Hill) in a statement. “We had so much fun on set deciding what’s for dinner and trying on each other’s most iconic looks.” And Sir Elton returned the sentiment in a statement of his own, calling the young performer “one of the most influential voices in pop culture.”
