According to TMZ, mega-successful deejay/producer/artist, Diplo is in hot water with the law as his ex-girlfriend has recently sued him for sexual abuse, assault, defamation, infliction of mental distress, and fraud,
In legal documents, former Diplo partner, Shelly Auguste alleges that the musician approached her when she was 17 and “solicited nude photos of her.” When she turned 21 in 2018, the two met in person for the first time when Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz) allegedly tried to force Auguste into having sex by sending her explicit photographs of himself in sexual positions.
Auguste stated Diplo “recorded video of their sexual encounter despite her protests” and tried to “coax her into a threesome with a girl she believes was underage at the time,” alleging he “forced himself on her as she tried to fight him off” after she refused the threesome.
The artist sought out a judge to grant a temporary restraining order against Auguste in December, a month after accusing him of revenge pornography and in April, he filed a lawsuit alleging that she was stalking and harassing him. Diplo’s lawyer, Brian Freedman, talked to TMZ and refuted all of Auguste’s claims.
“As the restraining order we obtained against this individual makes clear, she has repeatedly stalked, defamed, threatened, and attempted to shake down Diplo and his family,” he added. “These latest false claims are part of her ongoing harassment campaign, and we will not let them stop us from seeking justice against her to the fullest extent possible under the law.”
