Major Lazar To Close Olympic Games

Fronted by Diplo alongside Walshy Fire, Ape Drums, and new member America Foster, Major Lazer, will serve as the musical centerpiece for the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, in Verona, Italy on Sunday (2.22.)

Reaching a global audience following the conclusion of winter games, the quartet is expected to deliver a high-energy set featuring their most iconic hits – including “Lean On” – and true to the scale of the event, the performance is rumored to feature several surprises from a deep catalogue of collaborators that includes the likes of Beyoncé, Burna Boy, and Ariana Grande.

After the ceremony Major Lazer will launch their first extensive global tour in seven years – including major festival stages across North America and Europe – with anticipated appearances at Coachella on April 12 and 19, and headlining slots at Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 27. The trek will also mark the band’s return to iconic UK and European events later this summer, and following their June 6 stint at the Governors Ball in New York and Bonnaroo on June 12, the group will cross the Atlantic for a string of shows including Solidays in Paris on June 27, Pukkelpop in Belgium on August 21, and the Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands between August 21 and 23.

The aforementioned live dates will feature music from their recent GYALGEBRA mixtape, performed live with new London-based member America Foster, and given the act’s reputation for boundary-pushing stage production and a heavy touring schedule through the summer months Major Lazer is positioned to dominate the 2026 festival season.
