It’s official! Céline Dion’s upcoming documentary, I Am: Céline Dion has been given a formal release date.
Premiering on June 25 via Amazon Prime Video, the superstar Canadian’s team shared the news via Instagram with an image of Dion with her fist in the air and her hair tied in a low bun.
“Directed by Academy Award nominee Irene Taylor, I AM: CELINE DION gives us a raw and honest behind-the-scenes look at the iconic superstar’s struggle with a life-altering illness.” “Serving as a love letter to her fans, this inspirational documentary highlights the music that has guided her life while also showcasing the resilience of the human spirit – Team Celine.”
Taking an in depth look at the multi-Grammy award winner’s music career along with stiff person syndrome, Celine initially announced the project in January:
“(The) last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me,” she said in a statement at the time.”
In December of 2022, Celine Dion was diagnosed with SPS, the medical issue that causes painful muscle spasms and affects one in a million people.
