Six-time Grammy-winning alternative rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers will finally get their star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Writing themselves into music history with their ageless ‘Californication,’ the legendary rockers, who’ve sold more than 100,000,000 records since the the band former in 1983, will receive the honour at the Thursday, March 31 unveiling ceremony.
Located in the second row at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard (adjacent to Amoeba Records on the south side of the street) the Chilli Peppers star is the 2,717th on the Walk of Fame.
George Clinton (of Parliament Funkadelic fame) who produced the band’s famous 1985 album ‘Freaky Styley’, will unveil the star alongside actor and playwright Woody Harrelson, LA musician Bob Forrest and emcee Nicole Mihalka, who’s also the chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce board.
The honor coincides with the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ forthcoming ‘Unlimited Love’ album release on April 1 with the band embarking on their first world tour since the 2016-2017.
