Supported by an aggressive music video featuring cameos from Deshae Frost, Tylil James, andΒ Love IslandβsΒ JaNaΒ Craig, Ice SpiceΒ andΒ LattoΒ released their collaborative, ‘Gyatt.’
Curtailing rumors of the female feud, ‘Gyatt’ is first-ever collaboration between the two rappers, with Latto rapping βLord, have mercy, shape real curvy/ My man buy me sticks and stones, words canβt hurt me.”
Ever since Latto took a shot at Ice Spice in a 2024 Billboard cover story, saying she wouldnβt be worth engaging in a rap battle, the musicians have been seemingly at each other’s reputation.
βIf I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with.” βI really donβt mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that?,” stated Latto at the time, who later later shut down rumors of a feud in anΒ interview withΒ Rolling Stone saying βI feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her βWhatβs the issue?β itβd be like a blank stare. Itβd really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.β
‘Gyatt’ follows Lattoβs August single ‘Chicken Grease,’ that followed her May track ‘Somebody,’ and In 2024, Ice Spice, dropped her debut studio albumΒ Y2K!Β that included single ‘Hannah Montana’ featuring NLE Choppa and DaBaby.Β
