On Monday (5.18,) Latto chronicled her pregnancy via Instagram video.
Born Alyssa Stephens, the brand new mom concluded her social media post with an audio clip of her family encouraging the superstar rapper/singer to “push” and “go, go, go,” in what appears to be a hospital setting.
Currently is in a relationship with rapper 21 Savage, the 27-year old opted not to share the newborn’s sex or birth date, but in the video, she included a fun clip showing her pals Usher and Angel Reese trying to guess the infant’s gender.
As part of announcement, Latto reflected on how nervous she was to be pregnant while recording her forthcoming Big Mama full length, adding:
“I was already thinking about naming my album Big Mama, and then I found out about you, and it just – everything fell into place.” “It’s so crazy because I thought this was going to hinder me – making this album sober, being tired and just exhausted, as my body went through all these changes.”
It was in March of this year that the female musician confirmed her pregnancy by showing off her baby bump on the Big Mama LP cover (slated to drop on May 29,) and also addressed the pregnancy on the album’s lead single ‘Business & Personal.’
At press time, representatives for Latto and 21 Savage (born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph,) have yet to comment on the happy news.
