Lady Gaga Pens Music For Wednesday Season 2

In preparation for the second season of Wednesday, Lady Gaga has written ‘Dead Dance,’ the new song, complete with an accompanying theatrical music video.

Along with the new composition, the superstar singer/songwriter/actress is confirmed to guest star as Rosaline Rotwood, an iconic Nevermore Academy teacher whose mysterious past intersects with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams.

According to Variety, ‘Dead Dance’ will to drop alongside her appearance on the Netflix show. Co-written with her Mayhem collaborators Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the single is expected to arrive in September with a suitably twisted video release.

Adding to the anticipation surrounding Gaga’s role, she and Wednesday director Tim Burton were recently seen filming on Mexico’s infamous Island of the Dolls — a creepy locale littered with disfigured dolls and ghostly lore. “She’s such an artist… working with her is endlessly inspiring,” said Burton about Gaga.

Premiering August 6 and September 3, the streaming series returns in two parts, and in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 39-year old (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) said “I don’t want to give away anything about being part of the show. “I want to keep it extra secret – but I love Jenna and I really had an amazing time!”

Gaga’s cameo comes after the viral dance from the show set to Gaga’s 2011 hit ‘Bloody Mary.’
