Naomi Osaka Splits With Rapper Cordae

Four-time Grand Slam tennis champion Naomi Osaka has confirmed that she and her partner, rapper Cordae, are no longer in a relationship.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Osaka wrote:

“No bad blood at all, he’s a great person and an awesome dad.” “Honestly really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together.”

The tennis superstar and musician (born Cordae Amari Brooks) who launched his career in the hip-hop collective YBN, have been romantically involved since 2019 after meeting at a Los Angeles Clippers game. The couple kept their romance to themselves until July of that year, when Cordae confirmed it in an interview with GQ.

With cryptic social media notes about her personal life, the Japanese-born athlete, who grew up in the United States, had left fans wondering after writing on Sunday (1.05):

“I’ve come to the conclusion that what’s meant for me is meant for me and maybe certain situations occur to train my mind for what’s to come.” “That being said this is about to be a great year.”

Following a 15-month hiatus, Osaka returned to the tour at last year’s Australian Open. And ahead of the 2025 Australian Open, that starts on Sunday (1.12,) Naomi reached the final of a warm-up tournament in Auckland, New Zealand but pulled out due to injury after taking the opening set.
