Come Friday (10.25,) it appears as if Lady Gaga will release her newest song ‘Disease.’
A pre-save link for the upcoming song was shared by the singer’s label, Universal Music after eagle-eyed fans noticed the the hitmaker’s streaming discography had been amended with seven tracks from her LPs switching to uppercase letters except for one lowercase.
The seven letters spell “disease.”
Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, the pop star also teased that, come October, she was planning to drop the lead single from her eagerly awaited seventh studio full length, writing “XX October: LG7 first single.”
With her follow-up to 2020’s ‘Chromatica’ expected to drop in February 2025, the now 38-year-old multiple Grammy Award winner – who also starred as Harleen “Lee” Quinzel alongside Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in the sequel – recently stated that her new LP is “nothing like” its predecessor.
In an interview with told Rolling Stone, Gaga said:
“The pop album is nothing like ‘Chromatica. It’s a completely different record […] What I would say is, it’s all for me.” “It’s meant to be ingested as a time in my life.” “And I’m also really excited about this idea that I don’t have to adhere to an era if I don’t want to. I can have a few going at once. That feels unhinged [laughs] and more like me or Harley. Or whoever.”
Lady’s new LP follows her ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ companion LP ‘Harlequin’, concurrent with her ‘Die With A Smile’ collaboration with Bruno Mars.
During her ‘Smallzy’s Surgery’ podcast convo, the chanteuse/actress said “All I can tell you is that I’ve just been feeling so creative, and really connected to music and I’ve been working on so much music. I’m really excited to play it for the fans.”
