In order to focus on her health, Kehlani has decided to take a much needed break from her world tour.
On Wednesday (8.26,) the Grammy-winning songstress announced on social media that, after being hospitalized with an illness that made her unable to swallow, she will cancel her two upcoming shows in New Jersey and Maryland on the Kehlani World Tour.
“After two off days feeling completely normal, I’ve been up all night unable to swallow and in so much pain.” “I just left the hospital and I am not cleared to sing for the next two shows. I’m so sorry Camden and DC. My team is working on a solution,” penned the musician.
Adding that her trek will resume on August 29 in Richmond, Virginia, the 31-year stated “Breaks my heart to have to ever do this. I do everything I’m supposed to to ensure my health stays up to par and it still isn’t guaranteed. We will pick back up in Virginia.”
Making stops at bathhouses, yoga studios and wellness centers across North America along the way, the musician (born Kehlani Ashley Parrish) has been prioritizing her health and mental well-being while on the road which runs through September and wraps up in early October in San Francisco.
