Coachella Organizer In Talks To Turn Festival Grounds Into Mass-Vaccination Site

Given the industry wide 2020 shut down of worldwide music festivals and further postponements into 2021, Coachella has struck up discussions with Riverside County to potentially create a mass COVID-19 vaccination site in the California region.

Per the event brands longstanding experience in bringing people together, Coachella organizer and promoter Goldenvoice have the resources and space to lend to Riverside County. Citing the company’s 500-acre El Dorado Polo Club as a vaccination site location, Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez stated of the organizer, “We know what they can do with the concerts, all the logistics and planning that takes place,” given their power in being able to conduct such an operation. Goldenvoice expressed that they are “willing to be helpful and supportive.”

Other major California entertainment venues including Dodger Stadium and Disneyland prepare to offer their locations as vaccination sites to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic as well.
