Sean Combs Moved To Federal Prison

Having been found guilty in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, on Thursday (10.30,) morning, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix, New Jersey located on a military base approximately 40 miles outside Philadelphia.

Expected to be released on May 8 of 2028 from Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S District Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced the fallen music mogul to four years and two months.

While the prosecutors pushed for 11 years in prison, the rapper’s defense team advocated for 14 months.

Prior to the transfer, Combs had been incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in New York since his arrest in September of 2024, before his attorneys had complained about the conditions at MDC and requested a move to Fort Dix.

In a letter filed to court on October 6, attorney Teny Geragos wrote in a letter “In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix.”

According to ABC News, the 55-year-old embattled musician is being housed in a drug program unit away from the prison’s general population.

Combs recently filed a formal notice to appeal his conviction and sentence, and earlier this month, US President Donald Trump claimed Combs had reached out and asked him to consider a pardon.
