For the very first time, Ricky Martin has spoken out about the false allegations of sexual abuse by his nephew.
Before seeking a protective order against the star, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin had alleged that the two men had a seven-month long relationship.
Since day one, Martin denied the claims and the protective order was dismissed after Dennis withdrew his request during a 2022 court hearing. The judge at the time stated “This was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them.”
In a statement about the case, the now 52-year old Latin musician/actor told GQ magazine “It’s the worst. The most painful thing I’ve ever experienced.” “Thank God it was baseless.”
Accusing him of extortion, malicious persecution, abuse of law and damages stemming from false allegations of sexual abuse, in September 2022, Ricky filed a lawsuit against Dennis for $20,000,000.00
Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin, is the son of Ricky Martin’s half-sister, Vanessa Martin.
