During a recent visit to Hobbiton in New Zealand, Lizzo performed “Concerning Hobbits” on the recorder while dressed as Orlando Bloom’s character Legolas.
Referring to Lord of the Rings, Lizzo took to her Instagram account alongside a video with “Lizzolas in her natural habitat,” subsequent to which Katy Perry (who’s married to Bloom) responded by tagging her husband with a note that Lizzo is “comin fer yer jerb.”
Located in the city of Matamata, the superstar musician also shared a collection of photos and video of her exploring the former Middle-earth sets. Following its use in Peter Jackson’s movies, Hobbiton has become a famous tourist attraction that offers tours and events.
Lizzo’s in New Zealand as part of her current Special Tour, which hit Auckland’s Spark Arena earlier this week and the artist is nearing the end of her Special Tour, which kicked off in Florida in the fall of 2022. Her final show takes place on July 30 at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival and she’s also set to headline Made in America, Jay-Z’s annual two-day festival hosted at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, alongside SZA in early September.
