On The Tonight Show, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jimmy Fallon toast the reopening of Broadway with a mini-stage show of their own.
Appearing ahead of the premiere of the Manuel-penned In The Heights film later this month, Lin-Manuel joined Fallon to celebrate the return of The Great White Way. As part of his guest appearance, the couple performed “Broadway’s Back!” a musical spoof about the Broadway productions – including the likes of Come From Away, Company, and The Lion King – they plan to visit once theaters reopen.
For the finalé of the pre-recorded mini-musical, Lin and Jimmy Fallon were joined by special guests Olga Merediz, Skeleton Crew’s Phylicia Rashad, Kristin Chenoweth, Christopher Jackson, Laura Benanti and Jimmy Smits for a parody for “You’ll Be Back” from Hamilton (that’ll open it’s doors to the public in September at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.)
