Katy Perry Fan Collapses On Stage

During Sunday’s (8.03,) Katy Perry concert in Detroit, a young fan collapsed on stage.

At each of her Lifetimes tour shows, the now 40-year-old singer invites fans on stage to help sing her 2011 single, ‘The One That Got Away.’ However, the excitement was too much for one young fan, named McKenna, who passed out as the superstar prepared to start the song.

According to Billboard, Perry called McKenna and a friend down from the very top corner of Little Caesars Arena for the song. And as soon as the youngster collapsed she was attended to by members of the Katy’s crew and venue medical staff as the singer knelt down beside her.

Following the incident, Katy embraced the remaining three young fans for group hug and prayer, saying: “Dear God, we pray for McKenna, that she will come back fully and brighter and better than ever. Amen.” “It’s so much. Sometimes you’re so brave and you can get on stage, and it’s overwhelming. I understand that feeling.” She later told the crowd: “McKenna’s doing great, by the way.”

Not the first dramatic incident during her current tour, two weeks ago, Perry suffered a scare during her San Francisco show when the mechanical butterfly she was riding through the air suddenly dropped several feet. Perry quickly composed herself and resumed singing her song ‘Roar,’ before declaring at the end of the track ‘Not today Satan’.
