During the early months of 2022, Kanye West confirmed his working on a follow-up to Donda, his tenth studio album, the embattled musician has just released Donda 2 via streaming services.
A short time later, he unveiled four songs exclusively via his Stem Player platform.
Continuing to work on the project, on Tuesday night (4.28) West uploaded the LP to major streaming services Spotify and Tidal.
Named after his mother Donda West, Donda 2 features18 tracks and includes collaborations with the likes of Future, Ty Dolla Sign, and Jack Harlow.
The song ‘SCIFI’ includes a snippet of Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s 2021 Saturday Night Live monologue where she said “I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four talented, incredible kids.’
Now 44-years old, Kim has yet to comment on whether or not she agreed to be featured in the single. The reality TV star and her former spouse, who share four children, broke up in 2021 and finalized their divorce the following year. Since early 2023, Ye has been in a relationship with Bianca Censori.
Leading to him being widely condemned and losing out on lucrative partnerships, in 2022, Kanye created global controversy by expressing antisemitic views on social media and claiming he admired Adolf Hitler. And earlier this year, the 47-year-old made a series of similar hate-filled comments in an X rant, and while he declared his tirade to be a “social experiment” at one point, he later retracted the statement.
