Johnny Depp + Alice Cooper’s Ozzy Tribute

With a little help from Johnny Depp, during his latest performance in London Alice Cooper paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne three days after the former Black Sabbath frontman’s family announced his passing at the age of 76.

As the iconic rocker’s band performed Sabbath’s 1970 hit ‘Paranoid.’ Cooper surprised the crowd at London’s O2 Arena with a special appearance from Depp who took to the stage with a guitar in hand halfway through the song.

Wearing an Osbourne tee-shirt, the performance was part of Cooper’s sold-out London gig with Judas Priest concurrent with The Revenge of Alice Cooper. Alice’s band’s first new LP in more than five decades.

After the Osbourne tribute, Johnny performed Cooper’s mega-hit ‘School’s Out’ alongside original band members Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce.

Not the first time the musician and thespian joined forces, Cooper and Depp are longtime collaborators, performing in the supergroup Hollywood Vampires alongside Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen since 2012.

During last week’s interview with Planet Rock, Cooper addressed his upset at Osbourne’s passing, with “I was on my way to the stage when I heard.” “And I went, ‘Oh, that’s not right. He just did this. And I saw him. He was singing well.’ Even though you know it’s coming, what a shock to the system.”
