It was almost a week ago that Jelly Roll‘s wife Bunnie Xo revealed that her husband had shaved for the first time in some 10 years, and now the musician has taken to Instagram with a video showing of his new look.
Joking “By now you have probably figured out that I look like a Ninja Turtle,” the superstar singer/songwriter has been on a weight loss journey over the past couple of years, and has dropped 200 pounds, telling his fans “This is crazy, one of the reasons I started growing a beard was because I was so obese it was just easier to cover up what was happening here.”
Sharing his excitement about three current Grammy nominations, the artist (born Jason Bradley DeFord) said “First of all, the gratitude man. Not only did God bring me back here in the right headspace, when I look at these nominations, all I see is God.”
Sharing “I thought my chin went at least half an inch further than it actually went. F**k I didn’t know!,” the 40-year old singer ended by telling everyone to leave comments about his “double chin.”
In a video posted to social media days ago, Bunnie XO’s explained she had never seen her spouse without facial hair, adding “Because now that he’s so skinny – look at that freaking jawline – we wanna see that jawline, right, ladies?”
