After cutting his Saturday (7.15) Connecticut show short due to heat exhaustion, Jason Aldean has assured fans that he’s “doing fine.”
Over the weekend, the country superstar singer’s concert at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford came to an abrupt halt after he started feeling ill.
Video footage posted on social media showed Aldean stepping away from the microphone and coughing while performing ‘Crazy Town,’ and barely able to sing another line before running off-stage and stopping the show.
On Sunday morning (7.16,) representatives for the concert venue issued a statement confirming that Jason had experienced heat stroke during the performance, and later that day, Aldean took to his Instagram Stories account to assure fans that he was feeling much better following two intrevenus drips.
“I’m doing fine, it’s just one of those things, it was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show… I think it was a combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion,” he stated in a video. “I’m hearing a lot of stuff going around (about) heat stroke… I don’t think it was quite that serious but it was pretty intense last night at the show.”
During this Sunday night Saratoga Springs, New York show, the singer promised his Hartford fans that he’ll be back to make up for the short show, saying “I apologise for cutting the show short but we’ll come back, make it up to you.” “I’m feeling a lot better.”
The 46-year-old musician is currently on his Highway Desperado tour.
