During his Saturday (7.14) concert in Detroit, Ed Sheeran was joined on stage by Eminem who performed two of his biggest hits alongside the British singer.
Performing at Ford Field, Sheeran acknowledged Eminem’s hometown by launching into a “Lose Yourself” solo. Telling the audience that he studied the song earlier in the day, without warning, midway through the song, the superstar rapper emerged onstage to accompany him.
“Can I just say, he was gonna come out and do one song, but I said you can’t come out in Detroit and just do one song. Do you want another song?” Sheeran asked the crowd.
With Ed taking over Dido’s part for their second duet, Eminem performed “Stan,” after which he said to the crowd “Detroit I missed you!”
Not the first time Sheeran and Eminem sang together, the superstar musicians previously performed together during the rapper’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2022.
The first time the pair collaborated together was in 2017 when Sheeran guested on Eminem’s Revival track “River” and the rapper repaid the favor in 2018 by featuring on “Remember the Name,” a cut off Sheeran’s No. 6 Collaborations Project.
