On Saturday (3.29,) Dave Navarro married his actress and fashion designer partner, Vanessa DuBasso at Dunskey Estate in Stranraer, Scotland.
In an interview with People magazine the Jane’s Addiction guitarist and his new bride said they always dreamed about getting hitched at a castle, and when they saw photographs of the secluded coastal estate featuring an Edwardian castle surrounded by acres of woodlands, they were immediately taken.
Said DuBasso, “It felt like stepping into a fairytale,” with Navarro adding “We wanted our wedding to feel like a dream. It was important to us to find a place that felt unlike anywhere we had ever been, a place that embraced nature and transported us to another world.”
Included black candles and dark colored flowers, the wedding location set the tone for the couple’s “gothic, darkly romantic atmosphere.”
Each of whom performed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers from 1993 to 1998, Dave and Vanessa exchanged handwritten vows in a forest ceremony.
About her new husband, DuBasso recalled being captivated by the six-time Grammy-nominated musician, saying:
“I was immediately drawn to Dave’s green chestnut eyes, tattoos and dark comedic humor.” “His whole being is powerfully magnetic, and it was love at first sight.” “I’ve never felt this way about anyone.” “He’s the love of my life.” She said everything was “different” with Navarro.
