Following the official court ruling in Los Angeles moments ago to end her 13-year conservatorship, Britney Spears shared a video of her fans celebrating in the streets.
After a Los Angeles judge terminated her conservatorship, Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart said a “safety net” will be in place for the artist’s finances and personal care and addressed the court and thanked the judge
by saying: “The time has come today to end the conservatorship.”
Per the much anticipated ruling, assets will now be transferred from Spears’ temporary conservator to the singer’s trust, said the judge, adding that a medical evaluation will not be required for the world famous musician.
While Spears did not attend the hearing, in person or virtually, no one objected to the ruling and the next court dates are scheduled for 12.18.21 and 01.19.22 at which time the parties will discuss a petition for substituted judgment.
Today’s ruling marks the formal end of her father Jamie Spears’ management over his daughter’s estate, which included him making health and medical decisions for Spears until 2019.
