Following an apparent homicide, Angela “Angie” Kukawski, a business manager in Los Angeles whose clients included Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, was found dead.
In a statement shared via social media, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the passing of Kukawski who was reported missing from her Sherman Oaks neighborhood on December 22 and was discovered dead in her car some 30 miles away in Simi Valley.
As part of the ongoing investigation police have detained 49-year old Jason Barker, Kukawski’s former-boyfriend as a suspect. Booked into Van Nuys Jail, the accused has been charged with one count of murder and one count of torture by the Los Angeles County District’s Attorney’s Office.
According to the detectives Barker is believed to have murdered Kukawski at their home in Sherman Oaks, placed her body in her car, and drove it to Simi Valley.
