Gorillaz and Beck, took the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage to perform “Possession Island.”
Accompanied by a video of the animated Gorillaz characters, the superstar musicians performed with emotion with Beck joining Damon Albarn at his piano during the final duet.
During a star-studded show at the Forum in Los Angeles last September, Gorillaz and Beck originally debuted “Possession Island” that appears on the group’s eighth album, Cracker Island, on Warner Bros. Records.
In addition to Beck, the full length features collaborations with Stevie Nicks, Bad Bunny, and Adeleye Omotayo, and follows Gorillaz’s Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez (2020) and the group’s last proper studio LP The Now Now (2018.)
Gorillaz performed as part of Coachella over the weekend and will appear at the festival again this weekend.
