Bad Bunny Headlines Super Bowl Halftime

On Sunday (9.28,), representatives for Apple Music, the National Football League (NFL), and Roc Nation announced that Bad Bunny will headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 2026.

Sharing his excitement, the Puerto Rican superstar born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, said:

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself.” “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history.” “Go and tell grandma that we will be the Halftime Show of the Super Bowl.”

The sporting event announcement comes three weeks after the 31-year old musician decided not to bring his world tour to the United States based on concerns that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers may target his shows.

Praising the Hispanic singer/songwriter for his dedication to his homeland, live music entertainment strategist for the NFL, Jay-Z said “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”

In a statement about their choice for this year’s halftime entertainment, NFL global event production executive Jon Barker added:

“Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene. As one of the most influential and streamed artists in the world, his unique ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him an exciting and natural choice to take the Super Bowl halftime stage.” “We know his dynamic performances, creative vision, and deep connection with fans will deliver the kind of unforgettable experience we’ve come to expect from this iconic cultural moment.”
