Following the deadly UK mass stabbing at a children’s dance class in July, Taylor Swift met with some of the families involved.
After killing three schoolgirls and injuring ten more, the superstar singer/songwriter was shocked to learn that a crazed assailant stormed a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport, England.
Over the weekend, the multiple Grammy Award winner returned to Wembley Stadium in London where she’s been performing a series of shows and welcomed some of the families affected by the atrocity to join her backstage.
Taking to her TikTok account, one mother shared photos of her daughters meeting with the American superstar, writing:
“You drew stars around my scar …. The biggest thank you to @Taylor Swift and her mum for making the most magical night possible for us all thank you for bringing Hope & Autumn pure happiness last night & always.”
On Monday (8.19) Billboard reported that “Swift hosted multiple families impacted by the tragedy before stepping on stage at Wembley.”
In a July statement Swift shared her devastation over the stabbing attack, stating:
“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock.” “The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
