Following last week’s arrest in the Netherlands. Nicki Minaj‘s second Amsterdam show has now been cancelled.
On May 23 the superstar rapper launched the European leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour at the Ziggo Dome in Holland and was slated to return for a second show today (6.02.) However, Dutch promoter Mojo took to its website confirming that the concert would no longer take place “due to the events of last week”, when she was arrested on May 25 at the airport on the suspicion of trying to export drugs.
A representative for the Dutch military police told BBC News that the case against the American musician was now closed and that they would no longer take action against her if she returned to the Netherlands.
The now 41-year-old superstar rapper/songwriter was held by authorities after they allegedly found marijuana in her luggage subsequent to which she was fined $380.00 and released hours later – not enough time, however to make her show in Manchester, England.
Never one to hide her emotions, Nicki has since spoken out about her “disgusting” treatment in the Netherlands, and taking to the live-streaming platform Stationhead, she said:
“Not being able to get to Manchester, I don’t know when was the last time I felt that that low, you know?” “And not only that, but just knowing that that something is being done to you on purpose… But the treatment was just disgusting. And I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
Minaj’s Manchester show was cancelled at the last minute on Saturday (6.01) and rescheduled for Monday June 3.
