Citing vocal issues as the cause,.Bruce Springsteen has postponed four European tour dates including a last minute cancellation of his Friday 24 May in Marseille, France, the May 28 show in Prague and two June concerts in Milan.
On Sunday (5.26,) his team’s Instagram announcement stated “Following yesterday’s postponement in Marseille due to vocal issues, further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next 10 days.” “New dates for these shows will be announced shortly.” “Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on 12 June in Madrid.”
The current gigs are part of the 2024 leg of Springsteen and the E Street band’s extensive world tour.
In order recover from peptic ulcer disease during the later part of 2023. Bruce was forced to postpone a significant portion of his American tour dates. The painful ulcers hindered the iconic rocker’s ability to sing from his diaphragm, and the legendary singer/songwriter briefly worried that he’d never be able to perform again.
“My diaphragm was hurting so badly that when I went to make the effort to sing, it was killing me, you know?” said Springsteen via SiriusXM’s E Street Radio at the time.
