After Nicki Minaj postponed her New Orleans show, her fans were extremely upset.
Prepped and ready to take the stage at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center on Monday night (3.18,) the superstar rapper was forced to postpone at the very last minute.
Taking to their Instagram account just hours before showtime, the venue was the first to announce the rescheduling, writing “Due to doctor’s orders, Nicki Minaj must reschedule her NOLA show tonight.” “As Nicki is still sick, our team does not want to run the risk of getting others sick, and Nicki would not be able to give NOLA the show they deserve.” The venue’s post went on to say that the concert staff were “working diligently to find a new date” with 41-year-old Nicki’s team, and that ticket holders should wait for a further announcement of new dates, adding “Please hold onto your tickets, and we will inform you all soon.”
Quick to express their dissatisfaction at the last minute news, Minaj fans were quick to respond with:
“I just drove all the way to New Orleans.” “Her health is important but I wish they said something earlier,” wrote one fan.
“nobody is mad bc she cancelled , it’s the fact they waited 4 hours before the event to tell us officially,” responded another.
Letting her fans know she was feeling unwell, on March 16, Minaj herself took to X/Twitter with
“Barbz pls send me healing energy. woke up feeling like I had Covid. Thank God I don’t.” “You guys are just everything. I appreciate you. I love you so much.”
