Effective February 27, 2023 The Weeknd set a new streaming record becoming the first artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners, days after Ariana Grande made her music return on the global superstar’s ‘Die For You’ remix.
Not the first time the 29-year-old chanteuse and 33-year-old Canadian born singer/songwriter (born Abel Tesfaye) have collaborated, the two joined forces on ‘Love Me Harder’ (2014) from Ariana’s ‘My Everything’ LP and the pair duetted on ‘Off The Table’ from her ‘Positions’ album (2020), along with her ‘Save Your Tears’ remix appearance from his record ‘After Hours’ full length.
Ariana is presently filming the two-part movie adaptation of the Broadway musical ‘Wicked’, but recently reassured her fans she’s very much a singer. After being asked by a TikTok’er why she’s no longer a singer, Grande replied: “Literally on set filming two musical movies all day every day.”
