Returning to their club culture roots the Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and David Guetta release their feel good, summer anthem, “Don’t You Worry.”
The music video for the collaborative title sees BEP members will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Tabo playing aliens who come to Shakira’s home planet, where the Columbian chanteuse leads the charge in greeting and communicating with the extraterrestrial newcomers.
Along with their “Don’t you worry, don’t you worry about a thing,” “Everything’s gonna be alright’ chorus, Shakira transforms into a silver alien and the Black Eyed Peas into a pyramid-shaped space ship.
The new title is the superstar group’s second collab with Shakira that follows their 2020 “Girl Like Me” that peaked at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100. Guetta, who makes a mini cameo in the music video, has been working with the Peas for more than a decade and is best known for his production on the group’s smash hit “I Gotta Feeling.”
Taking to social media, BEP, whose ninth studio album is en route, shared part of the video on Instagram, writing, “LOVE to all the talented creatives involved and to our fans for your infinite support” as well as commenting: “Anyone agrees this has got ‘I Gotta Feeling’ vibe to it?? @davidguetta.”
