The latest in an ever-growing list of Ariana Grande Vevo live performance videos, the superstar songstress teamed up with The Weeknd for her “Off the Table,” Positions track.
Released on Wednesday (July 21) via YouTube, the video is the fifth of Grande’s live Positions collaborations following her visual versions of “POV,” “Safety Net” (featuring Ty Dolla $ign), “My Hair” and most recently, “34+35.” Next up is “Positions,” which will mark the last of the singer’s Vevo performances.
Wearing sparkly silver boots and a floral dress, Grande opens the video by herself in a meadow of glowing flowers as The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) walks onto the set as his verse begins. Known for their soft-but-powerful vocals, their chemistry is evident as they harmonize and trade riffs throughout the song.
What makes the “Off the Table” performance different from her prior videos is that, instead of the camera cutting to different frames and angles, her current collaboration was filmed in one long, consecutive shot as the camera moves with both singer.
Not the first time the talented duo performed together, Ariana and Abel stunned audiences in May at the iHeartRadio Music Awards with a beautiful duet of The Weeknd’s Hot 100 chart-topper “Save Your Tears.”
