Phoebe Bridgers Hospitalized With Appendicitis

Following her appendicitis diagnosis, Phoebe Bridgers has cancelled a series of U.K. performances.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (8.19,) the singer/songwriter addressed the last-minute cancellations, and assuring fans that she will “make it up” to them, Phoebe wrote “I got appendicitis for my birthday,” she wrote. “Everything in the UK this week will have to move but I’ll make it up to you!!!!” along with a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with a drip in her arm.

Representatives for the musician (who turned 32 on Monday, 8.17,) stated that they were “working closely with her global teams” and would provide an update on the rescheduled performances.

With just a week’s notice last Wednesday (8.12,) the intimate shows were announced and coincided with the release of Phoebe’s third solo album, Lost Weekend, which dropped on Friday (8.14.)

Before returning to the U.K. and Europe in November and December – including shows at Dublin’s 3Arena, Manchester’s Co-op Live and London’s The O2 – the songstress is slated to launch the North American leg of her Lost Tour in September.
