Spewing an expletive-laced, mid-show response that drew cheers from the crowd, Cyndi Lauper blasted a heckler who interrupted her opening night in Las Vegas at The Colosseum Theatre at Caesars Palace.
Running until May 2, it was during her limited engagement Cyndi Lauper: Live in Las Vegas show the two-time Grammy winner was interrupted by a heckler while introducing her song ‘Sally’s Pigeons.’
In a video from the show, the superstar singer/songwriter was seen saying:
“I don’t know what the f**k you’re saying, hon.” “But please remember where you are, OK? Because if you’re trying to shade me, bi**h, I’m gonna come for you.” “I’m from Brooklyn, and if I wanna f**king talk, I will do a tap dance if I f**king want. Sorry, that of course is not part of my people skills.”
After her audience responded with applause, Lauper moved forward with the performance.
Following her 69-date Girls Just Want to Have Fun farewell tour, which ended in August 2025, the Nevada residency marks a new chapter for the 72-year songstress.
Though she previously indicated stepping back from touring, the native New Yorker has continued to make live appearances, including a recent Hollywood Bowl show that was recorded for a TV special in honor of her career.
In November of 2025, Cyndi Lauper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
